Snapshot
The Snapshot feature, at the touch of a button, summarises the user's caseload in terms of due dates for filenotes (or 'matters') and visa expiry dates. When demonstrating the many features of Migration Manager, we often find ourselves using the phrase “if you did just one thing each day…hit the Snapshot button!”
In addition to displaying the number of items in each deadline category, by clicking the appropriate ‘View’ button, Snapshot presents the user with a list of those deadlines. The user then has the option to ‘jump’ to the relevant screen for the purpose of dealing with each issue.
The Snapshot feature, as its name might imply, is designed to give the user an at-a-glance status of their caseload in terms of forthcoming (and lapsed!) deadlines. Even the most organized, focused users may experience instances in which their caseload exceeds the “ideal” level. In such circumstances the user may be unavoidably tied up in certain tasks. Snapshot has been designed to show the user instantly where there are imminent deadlines, and of particular importance is its search for clients whose visas are about to expire in the next day, days, week, fortnight. Put simply, Snapshot reduces the risk of such deadlines being missed, by bringing those items to the user’s attention.
